What is the Channel Feed Widget?
The Channel Feed Widget allows you to share and distribute important information by displaying a curated feed of posts from specific Happeo Channels. This widget lets you customize its appearance and layout, choosing from options like horizontal sliders, grids, and vertical lists to enhance user engagement and information accessibility. By customizing the feed to your specific needs, you can keep your organization informed and aligned.

How to select channels to be displayed in the channel feed widget
To display channels in the channel feed widget:
- Click the Select channel(s) button in the center of the widget

Choose between the following options:

Select channel(s) – Select from a list of channels to which you are an owner, editor, or viewer
- Note: Please ensure that users accessing the page have the necessary permissions to view the channels selected for the widget
- Search for hashtag – This will display channels associated with a specific hashtag
- Set as visitor’s news feed – This will display the visitor’s news feed, which consists of primary and secondary channels
- Set as visitor’s personal feed – This will show new posts from channels that the visitor is a member of, whether the notification settings are set to low, medium, or high priority

How to manage the channel feed widget
To manage the channel feed widget:
- Navigate the page group where the widget resides
- Click the pencil icon at the top right of the page to open the page editor
- Hover your mouse over the widget until it is highlighted in blue, and click on it
- Select the settings (gear) icon at the top right of the widget
- A new window will open where you can adjust the widget's settings. You can switch between the Configure and Styles tabs to adjust what is displayed and how the content is displayed

Add a widget header
Add a header to the widget. Once toggled, you can type the widget’s header in the text field that appears above the widget.
Select the content that is displayed in the widget
If you haven’t already chosen the content displayed in the widget, you can do so here.
Adjust the content layout
- Vertical slider – Combines a vertical list with an automatic slider. Users can scroll through the list or let the slider automatically cycle through the content. Clicking on a post (at the bottom left of the widget) will open it in full view
- Horizontal slider – Displays content in a continuous, horizontal scroll. Users can navigate through the content using the left and right arrows. Clicking on a post (at the bottom left of the widget) will open it in full view
- Grid – Presents content in a grid layout. The number of items displayed per row or column can be adjusted by resizing the widget. Clicking on a post will open it in full view
- Vertical list – Displays content in a simple, scrollable list. Clicking on a post in the list will open it in full view
- Spotlight – Like the grid layout, spotlight displays posts in a grid format. However, spotlight emphasizes post images by centering them, unlike the grid layout where images appear as banners. Clicking on a post will open it in full view
- Cards – Displays three of the most recent posts, emphasizing post images by centering them. Clicking on a post will open it in full view
- Carousel – Images in posts take center stage in this format. Users can navigate through the content by clicking on a post from the bottom navigation. By clicking on the post being displayed in the center, you can access further details, such as likes and comments
Styles
- Background color – Select the background color of the section. The colors available to you will depend on what the system default is and the brand style you are using
- Padding – Adjust the amount of background visible behind the widget. You can set a value between 0px and 100px. A larger value will show more of the background, making the section header and content appear smaller. A smaller value will minimize the background visibility, making the widget appear larger. Adjust the slider to fine-tune the amount of padding
- Round corners – Round the corners of the widget between the values 0px and 100px. A larger value will make the widget corners appear rounder, whereas a lower value will make them appear sharper

Yes, you can add multiple channels to a channel feed widget. Simply select multiple channels from the list when configuring the widget. This allows you to display posts from various channels within a single widget.

No, the channel feed widget automatically displays the latest posts from the selected channels. It does not support scheduled post displays.
Can I customize the font size and color of the text in the channel feed widget?
While you cannot directly customize the font size and color of the text within the channel feed widget, as an admin or brand manager, you can customize its appearance by editing the brand style applied to the page group. The widget utilizes the font styles defined for Heading 1, Heading 3, and Body text within your brand style.

How can I ensure users have the necessary permissions to view the channels displayed in the channel feed widget?
When selecting channels for the widget, ensure that users with editing/viewing permissions for the page also have the same permissions for the selected channels. To verify channel access, navigate to the desired channel and check if the same users who can access the page also have access to the channel. If not, contact the channel owner or editor(s) to grant necessary permissions.
