This article aims to provide you with information about the Google Drive Integration, and how to install and authenticate it.

What is it?

The Google Drive Integration allows you to display content located within the Google Workspace environment in certain Widgets, for example, or files from a Google Drive folder.

How to install

To install the Google Drive Integration, as an Admin, you can:

  1. Navigate to the Admin Settings (by clicking your avatar at the top-right corner of the platform and then Admin Settings)
  2. Select Integrations
  3. Click the Enable next to Google Drive and follow the steps

How to authenticate

To authenticate the Google Drive Integration as a regular user, you can:

  1. Navigate to your User Settings (by clicking your avatar at the top-right corner of the platform and then User Settings)
  2. Click Integrations from the settings menu
  3. Click the toggle next to Google Drive and follow the authentication steps

Accessing Google Drive resources

For both Google Workspace and non-Google login users, if you try to access Google Drive and Google resources, a message will appear if one or the other is not authorized

Troubleshooting

I receive an error message when trying to enable the integration (Google Chrome)

Your browser may be blocking pop-ups, which can prevent the authorization process from completing. To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below to allow pop-ups in Google Chrome and Happeo to always send Pop-ups.

Allow pop-ups in Google Chrome

  1. Launch the Google Chrome browser
  2. Locate the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the browser window and click on them
  3. Choose "Settings" from the dropdown menu
  4. In the left-hand sidebar, click on "Privacy and security"
  5. Scroll down to find "Site settings" and click on it
  6. Select "Pop-ups and redirects"
  7. Ensure that the “Default behaviour” is set to “Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects” by selecting the appropriate radio button

You can also allow Happeo to always send pop-ups by following the steps below:

  1. Repeat Steps 1-6: Follow the same steps as above to reach the "Pop-ups and redirects" settings
  2. In the "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects" section, click on the "Add" button
  3. Paste the URL of the Happeo website (app.happeo.com / your custom domain) into the text field
  4. Click on "Add" to save the changes

Upon resetting your password

When resetting your password, it's important to be aware that you must also reauthorize the Google Drive Integration. Please do so to ensure the ability to use this integration. To reauthorize the Google Drive Integration, you can:

  1. Go to User Settings by clicking your avatar at the top-right corner of the page
  2. Go to Integrations
  3. Click Enable next to the Google Drive Integration and follow the authorization instructions
