In this article, you can read about what a page is and what the different use cases are.
What are pages?
In Happeo, Pages are versatile canvases or sites where static, long-life information can be stored and shared within an organization. They serve as a central hub for content like Intranet and Knowledge Base articles. Users, groups, or even an entire organization can access these shared spaces.
Creating and maintaining pages is straightforward and requires no technical skills. By combining sections and widgets, you can easily design visually appealing pages that include text, images, Channel feeds, Drive, OneDrive, calendar information, and more!
What are the use cases for pages?
Centralized knowledge hubs
Pages can serve as centralized knowledge hubs within your organization. They provide a single, reliable source of truth for essential policies, procedures, and documentation that are relevant to the entire organization.
Examples:
- IT Hub – Centralize information on technical support, desktop requests, tool ownership, and processes
- Legal Hub – Store compliance guidelines, training materials, and company policies
Departmental ‘facades’
Departmental pages serve as centralized hubs for information and resources within an organization. These pages act as a virtual "front desk" for each department, providing a tailored overview of objectives, strategies, tools, and resources.
Examples:
- Sales – Sales strategies, performance dashboards, access to CRM systems
- Marketing – Editorial calendars, brand guidelines, creative assets, and marketing tool ownership
- Product – Product roadmap, release logs, sprint planning, and product strategy
Employee onboarding and development
Pages can serve as centralized hubs for employee growth, support, and integration into the company.
Examples:
- Employee onboarding – Checklists, welcome guides, and introductions to key team members
- Employee development – Training materials, e-learning courses, career development programs
- Knowledge sharing and collaboration – Best practices, troubleshooting resources, links to knowledge hubs (IT/legal)
Resource hub
For organizations with information dispersed across multiple tools, Happeo pages offer a centralized place to consolidate and streamline access to essential resources. These pages serve as a single source of truth, providing a holistic view of any topic or hub.
For example, a project management hub can include:
- Scheduling widgets, links to key documents, and embedded media or interactive resources, providing a unified space for collaboration and information sharing
Showcases
Happeo Pages offer a versatile platform to highlight key accomplishments, initiatives, and success stories within your organization. Here are some examples:
- Celebrations – Recognize employee achievements, milestones, and company victories, such as recent promotions or successful funding rounds
- CSR initiatives – Showcase your commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, such as social responsibility programs and volunteering opportunities
- Company-wide dashboards – Provide a centralized overview of key metrics and performance indicators, such as progress reports, pipeline, sales, churn, etc.
Page groups, pages, and subpages. What are the differences?
Page groups are the top-level organizational units within Happeo. Think of them as folders or categories that contain multiple pages. They provide a way to structure and organize your content, making it easier to navigate and find what you need. An example of a page group could be “Marketing.”
Pages are the individual units of content within Happeo. You can find them by clicking the downward arrow next to a page group in the Pages navigation. Each page can belong to only one page group. Examples of pages with a “Marketing” page group could be “Marketing campaigns” or “Brand guidelines.”
Subpages are a type of page that are nested within other pages. They can be thought of as child pages or subcategories. Subpages can be used to create more detailed or specific content related to a main page. For example, if you have a page about "Company News," you could create subpages for "Product Launches," "Company Events," and "Press Releases."
To summarize:
- Page groups contain pages
- Pages can contain subpages
- Subpages are a type of page
