This article details what branding permission is in Happeo and how to grant users this permission.

What is the branding permission?

In Happeo, branding permission is a set of administrative controls that allow users to customize the visual appearance and branding elements of their Happeo instance.

Specifically, this permission grants the ability to:

  • Personalize Happeo's look and feel – Modify platform colors, logos, and even upload custom emojis.
  • Customize the user experience – Create a custom URL, modify the login page, and customize email notifications.
  • Control the visual presentation of channels and pages – Ranging from channel fonts to the typography and colors used in Pages 2.0 (coming soon).

Why grant this permission?

Happeo admins can grant branding permissions to users, empowering them to manage the visual identity of their intranet. Previously, only platform admins had access to branding settings.

Who can have branding permission?

Happeo admins have branding permission by default and can grant it to regular users. When granted, regular users gain access to the 'Branding' section within the Admin Settings (accessible by clicking their avatar in Happeo's main navigation). This allows them to manage and customize the platform's branding:

Note: Granting branding permission will not allow users to access other admin settings, such as billing, user management, search, etc. They will only have access to the Branding section.
